Safer Internet Day 2012
Today marks Safer Internet Day; an Insafe initiative celebrated every February to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world.
VGT Chair and AFP Assistant Commissioner Neil Gaughan said building awareness is the best weapon for online security.
“Internet crimes, especially those involving children, are increasing at an unprecedented rate,” Assistant Commissioner Gaughan said.
